Using your IKEA Kitchen Planner, we will select the doors, drawer fronts, cover panels, and plinths for your kitchen.

Why Do We Charge for Our Planning Service?

Creating a custom plan for your project requires significant time and expertise. Each unique design involves hours of detailed CAD work. We meticulously review every customer’s IKEA plan, ensuring that the correct doors, drawer fronts, and cover panels are specified. We also optimise the design to reduce the number of cover panels and plinths, saving you both materials and costs. Additionally, we draft custom cover panels and filler strips to make the most efficient use of materials.

Once we’re confident in the accuracy of the parts schedule, we use advanced CAD software to nest these components efficiently, minimising material waste. This process ensures you get the best value.

It's common for customers' kitchen plans to change. Our service planner fee includes one round of revisions, even if substantial changes are required. This flexibility ensures that your final design meets your exact needs.

While some companies offer planning services for free, the true cost is often hidden in the pricing of their kitchen fronts. We believe in transparency, which is why we separate this service from the product cost. By charging for our planning service, we can keep our kitchen front prices competitive. Our research shows that we offer superior quality at a price significantly lower than our competitors.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Ikea 3D Kitchen planner: https://kitchen.planner.ikea.com/gb/en/
  2. Plan your kitchen:
  • Make sure the room size is accurate as this will ensure cover panel dimensions are correct.
  • Add fronts to your plan. Although it’s possible to use the planner just for cabinets, we need to see the fronts in the planner. It doesn’t matter which fronts you use.
  • Please add handles to your design. Even if you don’t want us to machine handles. Handles in the plan will help us identify hinge positions. To add handles to fronts in the Ikea planner: click on a cabinet you want to edit, click modify, under the handle option click modify, then select the correct options for location and orientation.
  • If you want to use multiple materials for your kitchen, select different colours in the planning tool to indicate which fronts are associated with each material.
  • Please add cover panels and modify them so they are accurately positioned and sized. You can choose whether base cabinet cover panels go to the floor or plinth level. Tall cabinet cover panels can extend to the worktop, plinth or floor. The planner may also place cover strips to bridge gaps between and beside cabinets.
  1. Purchase the service on this page, adding the link to your complete Ikea 3D kitchen plan.
  2. We will plan your kitchen fronts and send you a quote.

The service includes one round of edits. Further revisions will require the purchase of a second planning service.

Worktops

Fully customisable worktops can be tailored to your exact specifications. With thickness options of 20mm and 25mm, our birch ply worktops are pressed with high-pressure laminate. The birch edges can be sanded smooth and oiled to reveal the signature birch ply edges.

We offer hundreds of laminate colour options from the leading manufacturers: Fenix, Luvih Merino, and Formica. You'll find the ideal worktop colour to compliment your kitchen.

Plyzen worktops are cut to size and can include custom sink and hob cutouts. This will reduce or eliminate on-site cutting. For under-mounted sinks, where the aperture cut edges are visible, you'll benefit from the cutout being machined perfectly smooth and being protected with water-resistant oil.

If you are installing a sink or hob that are not from IKEA, please provide us with clear drawings showing sink/hob dimensions, location and any salient cutout information.

We use DPD and Proovia for most desktops, DPD for legs, and pallet delivery for larger desktop and kitchen fronts. At checkout, please provide your email address and mobile phone number so the courier can update you with delivery information.

Desktops sent with DPD and Proovia are packaged in a crate and will need to be unscrewed. With the packaging, larger desktops can weigh up to 60kg. Please make sure you are able to receive an item of this weight and size. The rigidity of this packaging is required to protect the desktop through the courier network.

DPD or Proovia will usually contact you with a delivery time slot. You are able to change this time with DPD or Proovia directly.

Standard pallet deliveries will not be at a specific time, they can be anytime 9am to 5pm. Pallets are delivered to kerbside only, so you will need to unpack and move items to your home.  It is essential that you are able to receive the delivery. If the delivery is missed, we reserve the right to charge for redelivery up to £250 (This is imposed by the carrier). We do offer premium pallet delivery options:

  1. A three-hour window within the span of 10am – 5pm (Eg 1-4pm) for £21.
  2. A specific delivery time within the span of 10am - 5pm for £41. Delivery can be be either 30 mins before or 30 mins after chosen time.

These premium options can be purchased here

In the unlikely event that there is visible damage to the parcel or pallet packaging, please indicate this to the driver. For pallet deliveries, also note the damage on the delivery paperwork. If parts are damaged or missing in transit, please let us know within 24hrs of the delivery time, this way we can claim for damages with the carrier. Beyond this time, we can't pursue a claim and we'll assume all parts have been delivered without damage.

We also offer collection from our workshop in Lewes, East Sussex. Please select this option at the checkout.
